Infinite temporarily in read-only mode after threats of attacks.

Due to serious threats of attacks against Infinite by hackers, it will be in read-only mode until the situation has been resolved. Meaning level and image uploading will be unavailable for the time being as well as some other functions, you can check our Discord Server for more thorough updates on the situation.

Infinite Love 2 has ended.

Thanks to everyone who participated! The winner is... Etchevers20! His level Valentine's Sackbot (https://lnfinite.site/slot/2877/valen...) offers you a neatly designed classic platforming challenge set in nature with amazing visuals and a solid story. Introducing Infinite Love 2

Valentine's is coming soon, so let's spread the love again! Upload your own sweet levels and have the chance to earn charmingly great rewards. We added email functionality.

We fixed an urgent issue that prevented users from logging into auto-generated accounts which it automatically creates when you try to connect after patching before creating an account. Which is why we added email functionality, as you've probably noticed. This means that new users need to enter an email when they sign up, and existing ones need to do it the next time they log into the website, but they aren't getting blocked from playing till they do or anything. But since you've already done that the bigger news is that you can now also reset your password using your email. And now you can create accounts from within the game by typing /setemail and your email in the chat. They will receive an email to set up their password. If you know anyone who was affected by this issue, please tell them about this solution. I apologize for the inconvenience, I messed up here. I will update the guides in the ⁠resources channel of our Discord Server soon to account for this new second way of signing up.

The Server Downtime is cancelled.

Regarding the announced downtime, I just realized it may be smarter to only have karting on the new dedicated server instead of also having mainline on there. That way, we don’t have to use virtual machines and can use its full resources. Eventually, when the storage on the current virtual private server (annual hosting solution) runs out or we get so many players that the resources aren’t enough, I’ll get a really high-end server for just mainline and maybe Inbot. So, until then, karting will have better specs, but karting apparently doesn’t use peer-to-peer for multiplayer, so that would also make sense. So, the downtime is called off for now. We’re simply adding lbpk support. For psp, I decided that we should wait for it to come to the mainline software we’re using, so that will take a bit longer. Just wanted to let you all know.

Friend lists now also work on rpcs3.

We just wanted to let everyone know that friend lists on rpcs3 should work now due to a new update. So once you friended someone in rpcn you will be able to just join them like on PS3 without all of the hassle of going in the same level or using dive in. Invites still don't work but this should still make it much easier for our fellow rpcs3 players.

Infinite Joy 2 has ended.

We reached the 3000 player milestone on our gameservers!

Relatively soon the server migration should be done, we're doing Karting and PSP first, so the downtime will be starting at the last possible point and PSP as well as Karting will be functional during it, stay tuned!

Next month will be huge for Infinite

Next december (December 2023) will be a great month for Infinite. For starters we will be migrating the entire Server Infrastructure, which includes switching from a monthly virtual private server to a dedicated server that we own forever with virtual machines for each server software, the RAM will also be upgraded from 4GB to 32GB and the server storage is getting an upgrade too, though both are split between the virtual machines of course, this will not only make everything more efficient, but it will also allow us to finally fix LBPK and we'll add PSP support alongside it, since the server software is pretty much ready now. So stay tuned, though that also means you can expect a lot of downtime during the next month so we're announcing this now so you know what to expect and can plan around it.
